Sykes Painting Company has provided painting services since the fall of 1998. We specialize in high-end custom and designer coatings applications and restoration. We offer interior and exterior painting services, paint removal and restoration, pressure washing, wallpaper installation and removal, sheetrock repair, and exterior & interior repairs. We are fully licensed and insured and provide services for the Residential, Commercial, and Restoration sectors.

Sykes Painting Company proudly serves the Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and surrounding areas. Our mission is to offer coating applications that will endure, with a focus in details, professionalism, and superior customer service.

About the Owner

Sykes Painting Co., LLC was founded by Scott Sykes. Scott learned the craft of painting through experience obtained while working for Painting Contractors in both Las Vegas, Nevada and Durham, North Carolina. Once out on his own, Scott painted houses during the day and attended Durham Technical Community College at night in pursuit of an Associate in Arts. After completing his associate degree, Scott transferred to the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill and completed a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.

After graduating from UNC in 2004, Scott decided to continue painting. This decision stemmed from a passion he has for the craft and the clientele that he had developed over the years. Since graduating in 2004, he has continued to work painting houses while hiring employees and growing his business. He has worked alongside these employees training them to do the work and instilling his philosophy and approach to the profession of coatings application.
